Starting today, PlatformDTC is invite-only. New sign-ups join a waitlist instead of getting a store straight away. We'll send invites in batches and email each person when their spot opens.
If you already have a PlatformDTC account, nothing changes for you. You sign in the same way, your stores keep trading, and checkout, subscriptions and payouts all run exactly as before.
What changed
On August 26 we opened public sign-up: anyone could create an account and get a real store on a subdomain. Today that door closes.
- New visitors join the waitlist. Leave your email on platformdtc.com, or use Google, and you are on the list. No store or account is created yet.
- Existing merchants are not affected. Every account created during the public beta keeps working. Nothing is paused, migrated or removed.
- Talk to sales is still open. If you are moving a live catalog or live subscriptions and need to start now, talk to sales. That path never had a queue, and it still doesn't.
Why we are doing this
Merchants on PlatformDTC take live payments, and the agents on the platform take real actions: they publish themes, send campaigns and spend ad budgets. A merchant on day one needs someone to answer when something is unclear. With open sign-up, accounts were arriving faster than we could give each one that attention.
Invite-only lets us onboard every new merchant properly, fix what they hit before the next group arrives, and keep the platform fast and reliable for the stores already selling on it.
How invites work
- Invites go out in batches, roughly in the order people joined.
- We email the address you signed up with. That email is your invite; open it and sign in.
- Joining twice doesn't move you up the list. You keep your original spot.
We are not putting a date on when the waitlist ends. We will open more widely when onboarding can keep up, and we will say so here first.
